How to make a credit card or debit card deposit

How to upgrade your NETELLER account

An education in declined credit card and debit card transactions:

There has been a lot of talk in the online community about credit and debit card transactions being declined when depositing to certain sites, so I thought I would take some time to explain why this happens.

There are a number of reasons why credit and debit card transactions get declined. One of the most common reasons is transaction coding. All card transactions are coded and certain codes will be declined by the card issuer regardless of whether or not the funds are available. Each card issuer has their own policies around transaction coding and if you have experienced a lot of declines to your NETELLER account or merchant account, you can contact your card issuer to find out if this is the reason.

If you find yourself running into this issue, there are a few things you can do:

  1. Try the transaction again with a lesser amount
  2. Use a different card. As I mentioned, each card issuer has their own policies so another card may work
  3. Try another deposit option

Use Local Bank Deposits

We offer many deposit methods ranging from bank transfers to instant deposits. For many countries that experience a high rate of declines, we offer Local Bank Deposits as an alternative payment method. It’s free and you’ll have access to your funds in 3 to 5 days. You also get higher deposit limits with Local Bank Deposits (up to your account limits).

We also offer a variety of instant bank deposit options that vary by country. To find out if any of these deposit options are available to you, sign in to your account and select the “Deposit” tab.

Try one of our alternative deposit options and let us know what you think!
